Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 October 2026
This policy explains how Exam Prep Planner ("we") handles personal data in the planner, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it.
1. Data we collect
- Sign-in: the Google account's name and email address used to sign in.
- Profile: parent or guardian's name and relation, student's first name, class, optional email, and the date and time consent was given.
- Study data: exam dates, subject ratings, the generated plan, ticks, swaps, test attempts, timings and marks.
- Payments: Razorpay order and payment IDs, amount and date. We never receive card, UPI PIN or bank details.
- Technical: basic logs kept by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting.
We do not collect location, contacts, photos or the student's surname or date of birth, and we show no advertising.
2. Why we use it
Only to provide the service: to sign you in, build and save the plan, run tests and release answers on time, confirm payments, and answer support requests. We do not sell personal data, use it for advertising, or track or profile students for any other purpose.
3. Children's data and parental consent
Where the student is under 18, a parent or lawful guardian gives verifiable consent at sign-up before any study data is stored. The parent can withdraw consent at any time by deleting the account (Account → Delete account) or by writing to the grievance officer below.
4. Where data is stored
The website and its data are hosted by Cloudflare, and the data is stored in Cloudflare's Asia-Pacific region. Sign-in is through Google, which tells us only the account's name and email address. Payments are handled by Razorpay. They act as our data processors under their own security commitments. For Class 9 and 11 practice tests, only the class, board, subject and chapter name are sent to Cloudflare's AI service to write the questions; no name, contact detail or study record is sent.
5. How long we keep it
We keep account and study data while the account is active. If an account is not used for 12 months (whether or not a pass was bought), we delete it. When you delete your account, the profile, plan and tests are removed immediately; payment records are kept without the student's name for 8 years because tax law requires it.
6. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or erase your data, withdraw consent, or nominate someone to act for you. Most of this can be done in the app; otherwise write to the grievance officer. We reply within 30 days.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Each account can read only its own data, and test answers are held on the server until each test's time is over.
8. Grievance officer
Grievance Officer, Exam Prep Planner. Email supportexamportal@gmail.com. If you are not satisfied with our reply you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
